“A mothers heart breaks a million ways in her lifetime”
The Push follows Blythe and her journey through motherhood, marriage and divorce. A chilling family drama, that is utterly heartbreaking at times.
The short and engaging chapters had me gripped and I felt Blythe’s emotions radiating from the pages. I empathised with her difficulties and her loneliness.
The flashbacks from the past really helped me understand Blythe and the generational factors involved in the nurture side of relationships and upbringing. Thought provoking, indeed.
Trigger warnings: infant death & suicide
