Stella is trying to navigate her way through dating and decides she needs some “experience”. She hires Michael, a professional escort, for some help and she gets more than she bargained for…

This book made me cry so hard. Not because the story was sad, but because FINALLY there was a main character that was just like me. I finally felt understood, as strange as that sounds. Not only is Stella autistic, she’s high functioning and “successful”. When people hear the word “autistic“, they often think of the low functioning end. There were so, so many situations in this book I could relate to. The work obsession, the social awkwardness, the sweating, overstimulation…
Thank you to the author, you made me feel represented in a way I’ve never felt before. I loved how inclusive this book was. Stella and Michael were absolutely adorable (as were all his family) and I loved his patience. What a heart-warming story.

I accessed this wonderful book from Prime Reading, Huge thanks to the author for making it available for free!

“Michael was mint chocolate chip for her. She could try other flavors, but he’d always be her favorite”
