In Love With You has an interesting concept of the main character being in love with the reader, immersing and involving you in the book. Luna is a romance author who is having writer’s block. She travels to her uncle’s town to try and gain some inspiration and meets Ryder, the local barman and surfer. Will she get tangled in a love story of her own?
The first page had me really intrigued. Unfortunately, that was as good as it got for me.
I picked it up, I put it down. It just didn’t keep me engrossed and I read three other books in the middle of reading this one.
Being in love with me was a bit unnecessary- it probably would’ve been just as good to skip all that and just tell the story of Ryder and Luna.
3.5*, generously rounded up. It was just ok, but gained half a star for the novel concept.
