I owned this book 15 or so years ago and I never finished it, so I thought I’d give it another go.
Well, I’d have finished this a lot quicker if we didn’t have to know what everyone was wearing… that got a bit tiresome. And I totally skipped the chapters on Genesis, Whitney Houston and Huey Lewis.
However, I’m not sure I’ve ever read a book that made think “WTF have I just read?” – some scenes are GRAPHIC. Upsettingly graphic for some, I would imagine (sexual assault and animal abuse feature heavily)
The man truly is a psycho.

Would I recommend? No

I also went on to watch the film – it is word for word the book – it doesn’t translate to the screen very well at all. What a disappointment all round, especially from a “cult classic”
